5 Questions To Ask When Looking For Boarding Places For Dogs In Winter Park

Scouring the city for boarding places for dogs? Here are five questions you should be asking them all.

Boarding Places For Dogs1. Will My Pup Sleep In A Crate?

They don’t have to! One of the reasons people love us most is because of our beautifully appointed suites that allow dogs to spread out and get cozy. Our Garden suites are 4’x4’ at $45 per night, our Sandcastle suites are 5’x4’ at $50 per night, our Sunset suites are 6’x4’ with a large outside-facing window at $55 per night, our Beachside suites are 8’x4’ with a large outside-facing window at $60 per night, our Princess suite is 5’x6’ at $60 per night and our Prince suite is 4’x5’ with a bonus area at $60 per night!

2. My Pup Is Timid Around Other Pups. Will They Be Together The Whole Time?

Nope! Unlike other boarding places for dogs, we pride ourselves on our dedication to customizing each pup’s experience with us. When your pup arrives, we get to know them, their personality and their temperament. From there, we’ll pair them with dogs with similar playstyles, as well as give them plenty of individual attention. Our top priority is ensuring all pups feel at home, so we’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they’re comfortable.

3. Do You Welcome All Breeds?

Absolutely! We don’t discriminate at Rocky’s Retreat. All breeds, sizes, ages, personalities, and even intact dogs have a home at our place. However, we determine on a daily basis who we believe your pup can play with. If you’re concerned about your pup’s temperament with other dogs, we’ll adjust their playtime accordingly. As long as no dogs are aggressive towards people, we’ll take all the snuggles!

4. Will You Bathe Them & Cut Their Nails?

Sure thing! We offer bathing and nail trimming services at an additional price. A Basic Bath includes a blow dry, brushing and ear cleaning. The prices range from $15 for a small dog to $30 for an extra-large dog. Afterward, you can add-on nail Dremel for $15, teeth-brushing for $10 or you can get both for $5 off!

5. What Time Is Check-in & Check-Out?

Monday through Friday, check-in is any time from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays range from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The check-out time is noon daily, but we’ll keep them longer for an additional rate. Dogs not picked up by 6:30 PM will be boarded for another night.
