Complementary Care Does Work!

Prior to 2005, I didn’t know there was such a thing as canine massage! But after a vivid dream, I researched it, and changed careers. As ridiculous as it may sound to some people, aqua therapy, massage, aromatherapy, acupressure, and other modalities are viable, proven, non-invasive, holistic options for maintaining health and treating a wide range of conditions both in humans and animals. Animal massage, for example, has been around for some time, and is now emerging as a regulated profession in many states. It is a highly regarded complimentary therapy among veterinarians, trainers and other animal handlers. Massage positively impacts every system of the body improving overall well-being and quality of life. Studies have shown that consistent massage will enhance your dog’s comfort, emotional stability, general fitness and overall health. Aromatherapy uses the power of essential oils to affect positive changes in the animal. Essential oils are an effective answer to many common health and behavior problems, often bringing relief where conventional medicine does not. Chronic skin conditions, allergies, arthritis, chronic stress and behavior problems are just a few of the conditions that have responded well to treatment with oils. Since I have been working with these therapies, I have seen their incredible healing results. I know they work and if given a choice of putting my dogs on a potentially toxic medication that will cause more damage to their bodies, or using one of these therapies, I know what I would choose.
