Doggie Daycare Vs. Dog Sitter: Which Would Your Pup Prefer?

Before doggie daycare was a concept, us dog parents would just hire a dog sitter to come over and watch the pup while we were away. While it was convenient at times, it wasn’t furthering our pup’s development. And then Rocky’s Retreat was born!

Does Your Pup Like Playing With Other Pups?

One of the biggest perks to doggie daycare is the socialization aspect. Pups are just like humans in that they need interaction with other pups in order to grow mentally. A dog sitter can provide your pup with human interaction, but getting comfortable with other breeds of dogs is really what you’ll find the most beneficial.

We often have concerned parents because their pups are timid or shy around others. This is a common occurrence we deal with daily and it’s the very reason we’re so particular about each and every dog’s experience at our facility. When we get to know your pup and their personality, we hand-place them with other pups of similar sizes and/or temperament. This way, we can guarantee manageable behavior and ensure each pup is comfortable.

Do They Like Exercise?

Our daycare service also includes intimate playtime that involves digging in the sandpit, playing fetch and lots of snuggle time. Our staff is full of dog lovers who love to get your pup outside for some exercise. It’s imperative for a dog’s strength to engage in physical activity every day.

Dog SitterWe also offer a hydrotherapy service for pups with joint conditions, who have trouble moving or who simply love to swim! Each hydrotherapy class involves one-on-one guided training to move muscles and joints in a pain-free environment. It’s become a go-to solution for so many pups at Rocky’s Retreat!

If you’re looking for an alternative to a dog sitter, doggie daycare may just take the cake! You can learn more about our facility from our reviews or you can contact us today with any questions. The more pups, the merrier!
