Yes! For the safety of your dog and others, Rocky’s Retreat – and many other Orlando dog boarding kennels – require that all dogs be vaccinated. You must be able to provide valid and current records of rabies, DHPP, and bordetella vaccinations.
In addition to vaccination records, heartworm exams must be current (within one year), your dog must be on a heartworm and flea and tick preventative, and proof of a negative fecal exam (within 6 months) is required. We must receive all records no less than 72 hours before your dog’s first day.
Of course! We welcome and encourage you to tour our facility and any other Orlando dog boarding kennels you are considering. You can schedule a free tour by filling out the form on our Tour and Evaluation page under the Contact tab. We will reach out to you within 24 hours to schedule a convenient time for you to take a tour.
Tours are approximately 20 minutes long and are available Monday – Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM, and on Saturday between 10 AM and 3 PM (excluding major holidays).
Our prices vary depending on the size of the Orlando dog boarding kennels you prefer. Smaller kennels start at $45 per night and range up to $60 for larger rooms. For more detailed information on our exact prices, check out our dog boarding page.
Absolutely! We know that all dogs are different; some are picky eaters by nature, while others are on specialized diets and only allowed to eat certain foods. If you choose to bring your own food, please have each meal correctly portioned and stored in disposable bags.
Also, if there is any difference between meals – for example, your dog gets one type of food in the morning and another in the evening – just label the bags properly to let us know. We’re happy to accommodate dogs that have special dietary needs.
Yes! Rocky’s Retreat isn’t like most Orlando dog boarding kennels. We do not breed restrict and will take any dog (even those who are “in-tact”) as long as they are not aggressive towards people. You can learn more about our general policies by visiting the policies page on our website.
When your dog boards with us, he or she will spend time alternating between fun outdoor activities and resting. Depending on your dog’s play style, we will try to find other dogs we believe will make the best playmates. And if your pup doesn’t feel like playing with others, our staff will spend one-on-one time with them. After ample playtime, we’ll be sure to return your dog to their room for some rest.
