Considering what’s happened around us in the last week – 3 people we know, like, and respect losing their beloved dogs, it seemed fitting to write a post about grieving. For many people, a pet is more than just a pet, they are beloved members of our family, so it’s natural to feel devastated by the feelings of loss when they die.

Domino, a 4+ month old border collie / spitz mix was born without kneecaps. He is SO adorable and such a loving, sweet boy.

Today, for many of us, our dogs are our family, our furry children. They are more dependent on us than their 2-legged non-furry counterparts and we want them to grow, flourish and live a wonderfully long and happy life. I’ve heard people use the words “Pet Parent” and “pet owner” interchangeably. While they may seem like the same thing, in our view, they’re not. So what is the difference between a Pet Parent and a pet owner? Here’s a few examples!
